Taxes are due on April 17th, 2012 which will be the first Tuesday after April 15th.  The 15th falls on a Sunday in 2012 and the 16th is a holiday so taxpayers will have a few extra days to file their taxes via the mail or online.  There are many benefits to filing online but ultimately it is up to a specific taxpayer to pick a method that works best for them.  When using any type of tax preparation software company make certain to read the fine print before making a file decision.
